Terrific Late-Night Eateries on the Las Vegas Strip

It’s often said that Las Vegas generally keeps vampire hours. That’s to say, most of the fun things often happen at night than in the day time. Even if you wake up normally in the morning, there’s so much fun to be had as the evening goes on that you can’t really sleep at your regular home bedtime. It’s why lots of people just sleep during the day.

It’s therefore not surprising that the Las Vegas Strip has plenty of restaurants and cafes open even when it’s late at night. This is Las Vegas, after all, and not some quiet small town or suburb. You have plenty of places thar are open until the wee hours, and some are open 24 hours a day.

Not all of these restaurants are good though, and some are definitely better than others. As for the best of the late-night eateries on the Las Vegas Strip, try these places out:

Secret Pizza

You know how some places have bright neon signs that make sure you find the place? It’s the opposite at Secret Pizza, which seems like it wants to hide from its customers. It’s located on the 3rd floor of the Cosmo. When you find the entrance (it might take a while), just walk the record-lined hallway to the walk-up counter.

It’s worth the effort, especially if you get the White Pizza. You can also customize your own slice of pizza, or even get a while pie. Then bring your snack to the Cosmopolitan lounge area, or you can eat as you walk and explore Las Vegas.

Just get there before 4am, as that’s their closing time. sopesJust get there before 4am, as that’s their closing time.

The Henry

Like the Secret Pizza, The Henry is also located at the Boulevard Tower at the Cosmopolitan, but this time it’s on Level 1. This is a genuine late-night eatery, since they actually open at either 10pm or 11pm, and then close at 2pm the following day.

The place looks trendy and upscale, but the overall vibe is nice and relaxed. Here, you can find menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and late nights.

Basically, the menus feature comfort food, but in a more upscale manner and with some sort of special twist. It’s great if you’re really hungry, and you woke up late enough that your late-night meal is actually your dinner. You can then go for the Signature Short Rib Benedict. The beef is so tender it melts in your mouth, and it’s served with buttery hollandaise sauce along with some potatoes.

If you’re coming here for breakfast (or whatever you call your morning meal), don’t forget to have Henry’s Big Brioche French Toast. The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup is also terrific.

Tacos El Gordo

If you get a craving for tacos at an ungodly hour in Las Vegas, then get yourself to Tacos El Gordo. Here, the tacos are terrific, and they’re open until 2am on weekdays. On weekends, the closing time is 5am.

They have 3 locations in Las Vegas, but if you’re on the Strip then the closest location is across the street from Resorts World.

Why come here? It’s because the place is famous for their genuine Tijuana-style tacos. They make their corn tortillas by hand, and make their salsa and guacamole from scratch.

Try the fantastic Tacos de Adobada for a nice spicy port taco. It features fresh sliced marinated pork, along with a green salsa and some cilantro.

And as you’re already there, try the rest of the Mexican fare available. They offer great tostadas, quesadillas, and sopes, and you’ll love the mulas.

Grand Lux Café

Yes, there’s a Grand Lux Café in The Palazzo, but that particular location is only open until midnight. If you won’t conform to Cinderella hours, then you need to get to the location at the Venetian, which is open 24 hours.

This is another upscale place, featuring a diverse menu inspired by international cuisines. The menu here is so expansive (view Grand Lux Cafe menu here) that you can order a different item each time you visit and you won’t have to repeat an order for the next 6 months.

For late night cravings, the Avocado-Chipotle Cheeseburger is terrific. The taste is yummy and certainly interesting, with the fresh avocado, fire-roasted poblano peppers, and chipotle mayo.

Vegetarians can go with the Veggie Burger, which comes with farro, garbanzo beans, black beans, mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, tomato and Thousand Island Dressing.

If you’re craving some Italian dish, try the Pasta Carbonara. It features premium spaghettini tossed with smoked bacon, some peas, a bit of garlic, and a parmesan cream sauce. For pizza, you can always go with the iconic Margherita (with mozzarella, basil, and fresh tomato) or the Sausage, Pepperoni & Mushrooms pizza (with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes).

Have fun on the Strip!
